Welcome to The Slipper Launch Collection

This collection is dedicated to the Slipper Stern launches that grace the waters of the river Thames in England and other rivers and lakes around the world. It is for people who enthuse, built, build, restore or purely enjoy what is one of the finest river craft ever produced. If you are fortunate enough to own a Slipper Stern Launch on the Thames you may well have already heard from us, alternatively we would welcome any information you can provide on the history of Slipper Stern Launches and stories about individual craft. As information is gathered it will be published here for all to enjoy and in time the publication of a book is envisaged. The Slipper Launch Collection is completely independent and non-commercial.

This site will be particularly useful for overseas enthusiasts to provide information for this valuable collection. I would welcome the opportunity to talk to anyone who has the time and inclination to tell me more about these fine craft. I look forward to your e-mails.

The Slipper Launch Collection is not just for Andrews Slipper Launches; information on all launches will be included whether built by an established boathouse or the home enthusiast.

There is a questionnaire with the types of general information we would like to know. We would also welcome articles or references to other magazines or publications that could add to this collection. You can send us pictures by e-mail. If you provide us with other materials, we commit to return them to you. You may elect that the information you supply is acknowledged to yourself or can instruct that your name should not be included.
